Steele Wins at I-77 Speedway

CHESTER, SC (August 9, 2008) - Team CBD made its first trip to the I-77 Speedway Saturday August 9th for a weekly points event in the Crate Late Model class. New CBD House driver Chris Steele is currently running in the points at this track which is his home track.

Steele drove the Barry Wright Chassis CBD crate late model to a victory in the heat race after starting on the pole, and gave himself a front start for the $1,000 feature main event. Chris jumped to the lead at the start of the race and battled the whole night with current track point leader Ray Dockery. The two drivers stayed close all night but in the end it was CBD driver Chris Steele leading flag to flag. On a side note, Chris piloted the CBD Barry Wright Crate Late model with a #2 on the side of the machine for the first time this season to continue adding to his points totals. Currently after this event Chris is only one point behind Ray Dockery with one event left in the points season at I-77 Speedway.
