Troy Springborn Wins Two Track Championships

#1: SPRINGBORN CO-CHAMPION AT SHAWANO SPEEDWAY

SHAWANO, WI (August 30, 2008) - The challenge was on a few weeks ago when the TSR Racing Team trailed the points lead at the Shawano Speedway by over 15 points.

That many points behind with only a couple weeks to go sometimes seems insurmountable. That's the advantage of having an experienced race team and a 10-time track champion behind the wheel. The #81 team stayed calm and cool through the past weeks and kept the pressure on the leader. Tonight, Troy would finish 3rd in his heat setting up a legitimate shot at the Championship in the feature race. In the feature, Springborn had a good car and was able to claim a second place finish and a piece of the 2008 track championship. Maybe a bit disappointed that they didn't win the race and the outright title, but a stoic feeling of reaching the top and claiming co-champion honors and making it eleven track championships to date.
